K.BLU ACTIVE AMBASSADOR #8 - CAROLINE ANNE

HENNA MEHNDI YOGA PANTS/TIGHTS
Caroline Anne, an accountant by day and an ex-gymnast turned yogi in UK share with us on how she manages to fuse her passion and her job the same time without compromising her goals in life - travelling and creating a career in yoga in next 5 years.
HENNA MEHNDI YOGA PANTS/TIGHTS1. Your Occupation?
As well as being a yoga model/ambassador which takes up a lot of my time either organizing future collaborations or working on current commitments, planning, taking and editing up my photos, plus keeping up with my Instagram, I do have a day job as an accountant.

2. When did you start doing yoga?
About 1 ½ years ago. I started yoga via Instagram. I came across a yoga challenge and decided to take part then it all escalated from there.

3. How has yoga changed your lifestyle/improved your lifestyle?
I did gymnastics when I was younger and love how yoga has enabled me to continue with this as an adult. My practice is gradually evolving from what was initially my old gymnastics warm up as I am adding more and more yoga poses and yoga flows into it. I have never been stronger or more flexible than I am now.

4. Any yoga poses that are meaningful to you? Or which poses are those you took a long time to achieve?
My gymnastics background definitely helped me in yoga and I admit most poses came fairly easily for me. I really struggled with lotus pose so probably my most memorable achievement was the first time I did an ‘upside down lotus’ in headstand, I never thought I would be able to do this.

5. What do you look for in a yoga wear?
Matching sets – I really love matching tops and bottoms as it’s so easy to put an outfit together and it makes for a ‘complete’ look. I also look out for something different, for example I love the zip front and cap sleeves on this Henna Mehndi Chic Crop Top.

6. Any tips for beginners?
Taking part in Instagram yoga challenges is great for learning new poses if you don’t want to or can’t get to a yoga class. I’ve never been to a yoga class and am entirely self-taught using Instagram for inspiration. I always screenshot new poses I want to try.

7. Do share with us some of your favourite healthy meals (be it homemade or purchased outside)
I love smoothies, they’re so quick and simple to make. My favourite is simply a banana, ½ mango and some almond milk whizzed up in a blender. I always use a banana as my staple ingredient then throw in whatever other fruit I have in.

13. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I would love to be able to make a career in yoga somehow. I love what I’m doing at the moment in my modelling/ambassador roles. Maybe I’ll train to be a yoga teacher, I’m always being told I should. I’m already a gymnastics coach which should hopefully help with my yoga teacher training.
