Trixie Khong started her jewellery label, By Invite Only, from a hobby into a full fledge profitable business 7 years ago in 2009. She set her path to becoming a Chemical Engineer but decided that it was not her calling. Trixie started this company so that she can do what gives her joy everyday. In the first 2 years, Trixie managed to accumulate up to 80 print and online press articles about her brand and got her pieces stocked on Pixiemarket and Nastygal and 14 other physical retail stores by 2011. Now, her brand exists 100% online with special pop ups and events around the country. 

1. What is your own definition of success?
Success for me would be contentment. To work towards the goal of being content with my achievements at work and even personal growth. I always set milestones for myself for 1,5 or 10 years but they always shift as I hit them. The moment when I feel content or happy about them would be the day I achieve my personal success. 

2. What are your sources of strength towards achieving that success? Do you think you're reaching there yet?
I don't think that I am reaching there yet. I still have very much to learn, experience and work at. My strength comes from the satisfaction of hitting goal or milestones I set for myself. I believe that everyone should have a plan, but plans change as life goes on. Because of this, I set small goals and achievable targets so I constantly hit them, feel good about it and then set another to get that feeling back.

3.If you weren't working in the job you're in now, what would you be doing instead?
If money is no object, I would be constantly travelling, perhaps cataloguing my journey on a blog while enjoying the greatest sights the world has to offer. 
If I need to keep working, I would be an event planner because this job combines both creativity and logistical aspects that will constantly stimulate my everyday and keep me on my feet.

4. What is your ideal holiday?
Spending 3 months in a country and thoroughly immersing myself in its environment, culture and living like a local. It really doesn't matter where, it could be America, Europe or Asia.

6. What do you like to do in your free time?
Netflix and chill. Literally and figuratively.
