Fun, friendly and chatty, ex-banker Cynthia, and now owner of her own apps company, is very passionate on how apps can help us all in our daily lives. Bagged with her finance experience, and with her co-founder who shares similar vision, on making revolutionary apps and see Singapore forming tech space that is a comparable one to Silicon Valley.  Her Indonesian Chinese heritage contributes her softness and gentleness in character, but at work, she follows her heart to achieve bigger goals in life. Here are some information we managed to get from the busy bee.

1. What is your own definition of success?

Success to me is being able to ultimately achieve the goals that I have set for myself throughout the different stages of my life, even if it takes a few failures to get there. Right now, my goal is to ensure that my new startups, Call Levels and BlastOut are global successes.

2. If you weren't working in the job you're in now, what would you be doing instead?

If someone were to ask me this question 2 years ago when I was still in banking, I would have said I wished I was doing something which I really believed in instead of working on yet another pitch book. I count myself lucky that I had the opportunity to take the plunge into my first tech startup, BlastOut over a year ago which turned out to be one of the best decisions in my life. Working in a startup has been such a great learning experience and opened the doors to endless possibilities. Case in point, I would have never in my wildest dreams expected myself to be now taking part in a swimwear photo-shoot!

3. What is the one thing you personally have to do before you die?

I want to travel around the world! I remember doing an online survey about the “Places to see before you die” and I didn’t even hit 10% of them. I want to be able to look back on my life and be grossly satisfied and proud of all the things I’ve seen, the things I’ve done, and the life I’ve led.

4.Where do you see yourself in five years?

Sipping on coconuts on my private island with my loved ones. This is the answer I would have never been able to say in job interviews, but really is my true heart’s desire. Dream BIG!

5. What three words would you use to describe yourself or your personality.

I Love Chili!

6. What three values are most important to you?

Family values. Monetary value. Value for money! :)
