K.BLU on Quality Fabrics: Approach, Manufacturing and Commitments

APPROACH

 

There’s a lot of thoughts and process that goes on behind the scene to create each collection and we’d love to share with you how we produce every piece with care and considerations for sustainability, durability and design.

Our essence and foundation of K.BLU can be seen and felt on every garment we created. The details in every print is created from sketch, the fabric we used are made out of Eco-friendly regenerated fibre. 

  

Main Properties

 

Like a second skin
 

Besides being Eco-friendly, our fabric has the ability to compress up to 4 times higher as compared to other fabrics, you can have as much muscle control on any part of our piece and still have the same flexibility and stretchability like a second skin.

 

Resistance 

  

Our fabric has double resistance to fibre breakage and durable even after many washes and swims in the chlorinated pool due to technical fibre constructions. 

  

Carvico Brisbane

 

 

This Italian made fabric contains the composition of 82% Polyester and 18% Elastance

 

Protection

 

Carvico Brisbane offers excellent UV protection from UV rays up to UPF 50+, which is the maximum value obtainable.

Ultrachlorine resistant - Considerably resistant to attack by active chlorine.

Pilling Resistant - Our fabric is always smooth and pleasant to the touch. Tests demonstrate that it resists to abrasions and piling, with the highest value of 5.

Perfect Fit - The fabric elasticity moulds to the body without being constricting, allowing the best freedom in movements

Shape Retention - Garments that maintain their shape even after several uses. 

Two-way stretch - Fabric with stretch properties on both directions.

 

Treatments

 

Bacteriostatic - Fabric that prevents the proliferations of bacteria

Hydrophilic - Due to the hydrophilic treatment the fabric absorbs water spreading it quickly. This reduces the concentration of water per sq/cm: body temperature and the exchange of water particle with air ensure a faster drying time.

 

Carvico Favola

 

 Luxury 
Made in Italy. Has the composition of 42% Polyamide, 42% Polyester and 16% Elastane, making it very light and breathable. Heather fabric with a stylish slubbed effect, Favola is  compact and offers a perfect fit therefore being ideal for the creation of shapewear underwear garments which can remodel the silhouette while being extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear. Breathable and fast drying, Favola fits the body like a second skin.

Quick Drying - Fabric that dries quickly, removing the unpleasant wet sensation on the skin, avoiding irritating rubbing.

Ultra violet Protection (UPF)

All our fabrics we choose contain UV protection, in which ranks high in important as an outdoor/ swim wear fabric choice. Sun protective clothing carries UPF ratings. The rating indicates it's ability to block both UVA and UVB rays. 

For example, UPF 15-24 blocks 93.3%-95.9% UV rays. UPF25-39 blocks 96%- 97.4% UV rays. UPF 40-50+ block 97.5%-98+% UV rays.

 

Normal clothing vs Sun Protection clothing 

Normal clothing do not have enough UV protection as compared to ones with UV protection. The UPF rating of normal clothing is estimated to be about UPF 6, which still allows about 17% of the UV rays through. Even a bottle of SPF 15 sunblock offers more protection than that. Therefore, if you are going to be staying under the sun for prolonged periods (outdoor water sports) do put on clothing with higher UPF ratings.
