What is your occupation?

Investment director of family charity foundation

What is your favourite and least favourite part of the job?

Favourite part is the sense of fulfilment I get from knowing that the money that I manage will go towards helping someone in need. I think every job comes with its challenges, so I do not have a least favourite part of the job, only problems that needs to be solved and ways to do things better.

What country do you want to visit most?

South Africa, Cape Town and the Safari

What is your definition of success?

'To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.' (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

I love Emerson's definition of success because it is not society's conventional measure of success like money, beauty and power. To me, being successful is to master the art of loving yourself deeply and unconditionally, so you can draw out the best version of yourself, every single day. It is having strength, dignity and the confidence to laugh and be excited about the days to come.

What or who is your style influences?

Minimalist and timeless classic are styles that appeal to me. Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren are among my favourite designers. When it comes to beach and swimwear, it's all about the prints. Mara Hoffman has lovely designs. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of KBLU!

What is the quote you live by?

'Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.' (Mark Twain). I believe in not having regrets and not asking "what-ifs"

What is the 3 most important values to you?

Resilience, humility and integrity
